BELIEVED IN A MASS is a collaborative zine inspired from the BODY LANGUAGE exhibition:

“Through the form of a mock flyposting campaign, Hink encourages the viewer to claim their own language regarding the restriction of one’s physical form. Repetitious blunt wording and elemental body horror are combined to advertise the landscape of a loosely autonomous existence. Limitations tear us apart; using our voices paste us back together.”

BELIEVED IN A MASS not only features the works from this show, but features a variety of artistic voices exploring trans rights, abortion access, gender affirming care, consent, queer language, and honest exploration of one's identity. In restrictive times where one might feel lost, the language we express can be buoys for one and other.

BELIEVED IN A MASS hopes to encourage the reader (yes you), to allow yourself to explore your own language as well. Whether it be on a poster, in casual conversation, nonverbally in you daily actions, in a diary entry, or a zine of your own, it's all language.
